Disposition:
Reserved: Though Ryne can be a friendly sort, when you first meet her, she's very shy. She was isolated most of her life, so sometimes she's not entirely sure how to go about talking to other people, or what's appropriate or not. She'll timidly try to be nice, but will be immediately worried that she might be bothering them, or that she might be a burden, and end up flustered with self-doubt. This can make her a bit impulsive in doing things when she thinks others might be upset if she asked for their help, and will deal with it by herself. She has a tendency to put others before herself, only recently learning to value herself at all. She's gotten much better about this, but sometimes she can still find herself having trouble discussing her own thoughts and feelings without being prompted.
Compassionate: At her core, Ryne is a very kind and caring girl, eager to learn anything and everything. She gets excited to participate in local traditions, and takes great care in making sure she's doing it right, and being respectful. In a world devastated by grief, destruction, and treachery, Ryne has seen the worst of the worst, and she desperately wants to help. She will help and reach out to anyone that is willing to accept it, She believes, ultimately, in the good of humanity; and that everyone, no matter how small or insignificant they may be, has value. She worries deeply for the safety and well-being of her friends and loved ones, to the point where she can almost get a bit pushy about making sure they're resting and taking care of themselves. She spiritedly commits herself to the recovery of her world, doing what she can to assure that the future will be a happy place to live.
Naive: For most of her life, Ryne was locked up in a jail under the city of Eulmore; her only contact with the outside world being Ran'jit, the General of Eulmore's military, and the man in charge of looking over her. She was taught that there was no salvation for their world, and eventually they would finally fall to the destruction of the sin eaters. Thus, she knew very little about the outside world around her, and was taught to writ it off. It was only in the last five years or so that she was freed from her prison, and finally allowed to experience the world. This leaves her a bit inexperienced in a lot of things; she has had to learn very quickly how the world works, is very inexperienced in dealing with other people, and she feels she's not very good at talking or being useful beyond surface level tasks because she hasn't learned very much.
Resolved: Though most of her life has been characterized by isolation, indecision and instability, Ryne has come out the other end stronger for it all. She's found her determination and resolve, and can be an absolute menace for it. She believes in what's right, she believes that nothing is beyond salvation, and she will fight tooth and nail for it, and fight to protect those who can't fight for themselves. She is determined to be a hero to her world, after they'd lost all of their own; she's certain that even the Empty, an endless wasteland where Light has ravaged the land, can be restored for the prosperity of future generations, and nothing will stop her from accomplishing her girls once she's set her mind. She can be unrelentingly stubborn, even on such minor things as making sure her friends rest, or befriending someone particularly prickly, but hers is a will that cannot be dashed.
Free: Before Ryne, there was Minfillia; and before Minfillia, there was no one else. As the Oracle of Light, Ryne's life was never truly hers to live. She would fight and die against the sin eaters as the Oracles before her, or she would die in imprisonment to keep her from that fight. Thanks to the resolve and support she's found, Ryne has finally been given her own life to live, and she's finally free to enjoy it. The destruction of the First has been averted, and she approaches each day with a sunny disposition. She more regularly indulges in exceedingly normal activities, like riding in a car, or enjoying cookies from a cafe, or participating in a festival; all of which are amazing novelties to her. She eagerly busies herself with any manner of new projects she can get her hands on, and is much more easy going and relaxed as she approaches new experiences with gusto, excited to experience all that she can.
Under pressure: Devastation of the world and the environment is something Ryne's no stranger to; she grew up in a world devastated by an imbalance of magic, leaving only a small portion of the world let in tact. The rest of the world became an expanse known as the Empty: all the land that was destroyed by the Flood of Light, literally bleached of life and completely uninhabitable to any kind of living being. Nothing can grow there, and living beings aren't able to survive there for long. In the Eden questline, Ryne takes it upon herself to find some way to restore balance to the Empty, and make it safe and inhabitable once again, and she achieves this through using the power of the Sin Eater, Eden.
Obviously, she won't have access to Eden here, but she'll be equally as eager to help the people of Noctium repair the damage done by Malachite with her own magic, or any other magic she can learn. The nature of Light magic on her world is such that it is given to stasis and balance, so while it won't be as efficient as channeling the elements, she'd be glad to use it to prevent further damage.
Other than that, while she'd be sad to no longer be on the First, she'll know that it's at least taken care of; and she'd be excited to learn about the new world. Very curious about the way their own magic works here, about local beliefs and traditions and just how their lives work. With any luck, they'll be able to use the available magic to help repair the destruction, and even make the surface inhabitable again. (a long shot, but a girl's gotta have a goal!)
Condition upon arrival: Ryne will have wrapped up her business in restoring Empty and no longer has control over Eden (as Eden is kind of dead and/or dormant? after Eden's Promise). She's physically fine, if a bit taxed after saving Gaia and dealing with all of the problems Mitron caused, but she'll be ready and willing to co-operate.
Abilities:
Oracle of Light/Word of the Mother: Ryne is the latest reincarnation of Minfillia, a woman who gave her physical form to the Mothercrystal Hydaelyn, and traveled to another universe in order to stop her world from being destroyed by a surge of Light-aspected magic known as the Flood of Light. She is also the only Minfillia that has inherited the Oracle's full powers. As such, she has very strong Light magic and the ability to sense Light-aspected magic from long distances(though she has no idea how to use most of this; think raw power, but no training). She is able to exert some measure of control over Sin Eaters (monsters created via corruption by Light magic), able to re-awaken and harness the power of the eldest Sin Eater, Eden. This influence extends to being able to heal and/or suppress the damage done by light magic specifically.
Most likely, she also has inherited the connection to and ability to communicate with Hydaelyn from her predecessor, though canon's real vague about this.
Rogue: Ryne was taught how to fight by Thancred, and so she is able to use Rogue abilities and fighting style. She doesn't have Ninja training, so she only knows the knife skills, and none of the ninjutsu. (She can use Banish III instead of Suiton to use Trick Attack, though. Which in practice means she can turn temporarily invisible and stab real good). But she can be sneaky when she really needs to be!
Aerthology: She has some control over aether in general, though this abilities could be connected to her Oracle roots. She's not a mage by trade, but can do some magic-esque skills, like imbuing Thancred's aether bullets and channeling certain elements of aether through Eden.
Inventory: Her pair of knives, and Thancred's gunblade (left with her after he departed for the Source).
Gembond: Amethyst
Gem Location: In her chest, right over her sternum.
